Send every piece home
The top is yellow; the pieces are shuffled. Corners first, then edges, and the cube is solved.
Corners first, with the corner cycle you learned in Level 1, played from an anchor corner that is already home. Then only edges remain, and one of two pictures: three edges need to cycle round, or all four do.
For three, use whichever of these two players matches the direction of the cycle you need. Cubers call them Ua and Ub. For four, play either one, and you will be left with three.
Cycle clockwise · Ua
Cycle anticlockwise · Ub
That completes the Level 2 toolkit. With the first two layers from Level 1 and a two-look last layer, most people sit between forty and ninety seconds within a couple of weeks of practice. When your last layer feels like waiting rather than thinking, Level 3 is ready.
Verified by exhaustive search: the toolkit on these two pages solves every legal last layer.
