Average boards
The record averages: five solves, best and worst thrown away, the middle three averaged. This is the measure most events are won on.
An average is harder than a single, because it cannot be got by luck. A solver has to be fast three times out of five, and the two thrown-away solves are the ones that would have flattered or ruined the number.
