Three corners move round clockwise while the front right corner stays home and three edges move round anticlockwise while the front edge stays home. Sixteen moves put every piece home.
The last layer is all yellow on top, and every piece of the first two layers is home. What remains is position: three corners move round clockwise while the front right corner stays home and three edges move round anticlockwise while the front edge stays home. This is the Ga permutation, one of the twenty-one ways an oriented last layer can still be shuffled.
Turn the cube in your fingers and look for headlights, a matching pair split by an odd sticker, face the left.
On average one solve in eighteen ends here. The algorithm runs sixteen moves; play it slowly first, then step through it turn by turn with your own cube in hand.
