F2L 16

The corner rides the top layer at the front right, white looking out over the right; its edge waits at the right of the top layer, orange side up. Seven moves bring the pair home together.

Corner and edge sit joined the wrong way round; pull them apart over the top before rebuilding.

Here the corner rides the top layer at the front right, white looking out over the right, and its edge waits at the right of the top layer, orange side up. The white cross is done and the other three slots are already filled; only this corner and this edge are still adrift. The algorithm walks them into the front-right slot in seven moves.

Of the 150 ways a corner and its edge can sit, four reduce to this case once you spin the top layer to match the picture. In the diagram the finished cube is grey wherever a piece does not matter; only the coloured pieces count.

Checked by simulation before publishing: the position shown plus the moves shown must produce a finished cube, and the algorithm must touch nothing outside its own job. The diagram and the player are drawn from the same simulated position, so they cannot disagree.
